| One of the major issues that the proposed third front in the State, comprising Dalits, STs, BCs and Minorities, is to insist on would be delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies in the State.
The demand is more vociferous in Telangana, because there would be an increase in the number of SC and ST constituencies, if the delimitation takes place. The Dalit front has started dharnas and demonstrations demanding the Centre to expedite the process of delimitation of Assembly and parliamentary constituencies.
CONGRESS and TDP are trying to postpone the delimitation process in order to get benefit out of it as they are going to lose their constituencies or else reserving those constituencies to other sections.
Both the Telugu Desam and the Congress are not so keen on the delimitation process now, obviously because of their eroding base. If the Third Front gets strengthened with the arrival of Megastar Chiranjeevi on to the political scene, it would further damage their prospects.

| Telugu Desam Party leadership wants to criticize Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy that he is encouraging a Reddy Raj in the State and has converted his administration into one based on caste considerations. Reddys were being considered for top nominated posts while people from other castes and groups were neglected.
The TDPs Reddy list goes like this: The chief minister is a Reddy. The chief whip is a Reddy. The Speaker is a Reddy. State Human Rights Commission chairman is a Reddy. The Lok Ayukta is a Reddy. The Administrative Tribunal chairman is a Reddy. The Andhra Pradesh State Public Service Commission chairman is a Reddy. Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education chairman is also a Reddy. The list runs into four pages and to publish the long list is quite difficult for the media. So far so good.
And what about those who have ganged up against Rajasekhar Reddy. The two media barons are Kammas. The TD chief is a Kamma. The Lok Satta leader is a Kamma. The CPI leader is a Kamma. The CPM leader is a Kamma. It seems the State politics revolves around these two castes while people of other communities have to be content with watching these two communities bagging big posts, leaving nominal ones to other sections.

| He must be mad to announce his new party before March!! If at all he is starting a new party and if he is clever enough then definitely he will wait until the MidTerm polls (Loksabha) completes. Then he will know where exactly he stands, and which direction he supposed to go!!!!!!!!! Anyone disagree here?????? |
